ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
One award of $500 from PCL and Local 488 for the student the committee thinks best represents what a real employer wants: a team player who is punctual, has good attendance, a solid work ethic and a willingness to help others. You must be going into welding.
Attendance and punctuality are named explicitly, which almost no other award does. This is one where turning up every day for three years is literally the qualification. Bev Facey runs one online form for every in-house award: you tick the ones you qualify for and attach a written or video submission saying why. A staff committee decides. The 2026 form closed April 7 and opened on March 16, so watch for it in mid-March.
