PCL and Local 488 Welding Flame to Fame Scholarship
Who can apply Bev Facey welding students
Run by Elk Island Public Schools Amount and deadline
Checked against the provider's page in Oct 2026.
Worth knowing
Attendance and punctuality are named, which almost no other award does. This is one where turning up every day for three years is literally the qualification. You must be going into welding, though specific apprenticeship registration is not required.
How the Bev Facey awards form works
Bev Facey runs one online form for every in-house award. You tick the ones you qualify for and attach a written or video submission saying why. A staff committee decides. The 2026 form opened March 16 and closed April 7, so watch for it in mid-March.
10 awards listed here go through it.
About this scholarship
One award of $500 from PCL and Local 488 for the student the committee thinks best represents what a real employer wants, a team player who is punctual, has good attendance, a solid work ethic and a willingness to help others. You must be going into welding.
