NAPA Top Automotive Student Award
A tool box and tools valued at upwards of $9,000 for a student in good standing in automotives who attends regularly, engages in class, shows citizenship, a strong work ethic, initiative and the ability to follow safety procedures. You must have completed or be enrolled in Automotive 30.
This is the largest award of any kind in Sherwood Park and it is not cash: it is the tool kit a first-year apprentice would otherwise have to buy. Automotive 30 is the hard requirement. Bev Facey runs one online form for every in-house award: you tick the ones you qualify for and attach a written or video submission saying why. A staff committee decides. The 2026 form closed April 7 and opened on March 16, so watch for it in mid-March.
