Canadian students starting a mechanics program at a Canadian college or university
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

A registered Canadian charity based in Didsbury, Alberta that pays $1,000 to students entering the mechanical trades. It awarded 13 scholarships in 2026 and 10 in 2025.

You apply for the program you are starting, not the one you are in: the form asks for proof of acceptance or enrolment in an accredited Canadian college or university mechanics program, so a Grade 12 applies in the winter before starting. Eligible paths include automotive service, heavy duty equipment, agricultural equipment and aviation maintenance technician. You need high school English, math, physics or science plus any related CTS courses. A 30 second to one minute video explaining your interest in mechanics is strongly recommended. Applications go through a Google form or a PDF emailed to the foundation by March 1, with winners notified by April 15. You can only receive this award once in your lifetime.
