Worth knowing

Dates and terms confirmed against RE/MAX's own Official Rules on 2026-09-08: the program opens August 24, 2026 and closes March 15, 2027, and forty applicants each receive $1,000. Two things the rules make plain that the marketing does not. Winners are picked by random drawing among entries that clear the essay bar, not ranked on merit, so a strong essay improves nothing beyond eligibility. And residents of Quebec are excluded, as are students finishing through high school equivalency courses. The essay must be at least 500 words on one of three themes: what home means to you, leadership or charity in your community, or a dream you hope to achieve. The /quest-for-excellence/ landing page carries the submission form while a cycle is open and 404s between cycles, so this points at the rules page, which stays up year-round.

About this scholarship

RE/MAX awards forty $1,000 scholarships to Grade 12 students across Canada who submit an essay on one of three set themes. Recipients are drawn at random from all eligible entries.
