Worth knowing

There is no application. The culinary arts instructors select the winner. The attendance clause is the strictest in the handbook and is stated without exception, so a single missed class most likely ends it. Grade 10 and 11 students in the programme are named as eligible to build toward it. Unless an award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens and have lived in Alberta for at least one year.

About this scholarship

The culinary instructors give a chef's knife to a grade 12 student in good standing in Culinary Arts who has kept perfect attendance in the class regardless of illness or injury, assists the instructors, is a positive influence on peers and has earned the maximum service marks.
