CNIB Post-Secondary Scholarships
A single CNIB application considers you for every scholarship you qualify for, worth $1,000 to $8,000, if you are blind, Deafblind or have low vision and heading to post-secondary study anywhere in Canada.
One application covers the whole slate: CNIB says submitting it automatically considers you for any scholarship you are eligible for. Graduating high school students can apply, using interim proof of secondary completion. You need best-corrected visual acuity of 20/70 or worse or a visual field of 20 degrees or narrower, and must be a Canadian citizen or have held landed immigrant status for at least a year. Eligible programs include diplomas, degrees, skilled trades certificates and apprenticeships. The 2026/27 cycle has closed; CNIB's page says applications for 2027/28 open in spring 2027.
