ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

United Steelworkers offers three $1,000 David Ellis Scholarships in each Canadian district to help high school students continue their education. Applicants must be children or grandchildren of a USW member and submit work about young workers' health and safety.

Email a 750-1,000-word essay or a 3-5-minute YouTube video on one of the two posted themes. Include your contact details, school and relative's name and union local. Dates for the new cycle were not posted when checked; this is last cycle's date carried forward, confirm before planning around it.
