How Burman University scholarships work

The Academic Excellence Scholarship takes no application. Burman works it out from your admission average, using at least five approved academic courses on a government-issued Grade 12 transcript, and it pays $500 to $3,500 a year for averages from 75 to 94.9. GED students are not eligible. You need a transcript on time and 12 credits in each of fall and winter to collect it. Other awards here ask for references or a form of their own.

14 awards are listed here. Among those open now or opening later, the most deadlines fall in August (2) and July (2). 9 awards have no date listed yet.

The largest amounts listed are Burman University Orchestral Scholarship ($8,000), Richard and Irma Kutzner Entrance Bursaries ($6,000 or up to $8,000) and Violet M. Thomas Nursing Scholarship ($8,000).

Rules can change, so confirm on Burman's Academic Excellence page before you apply. We last read it on November 5, 2026.
