Worth knowing
Requires admission to Burman, twelve completed credits excluding PLAR and audits, and Canadian citizenship or permanent residence. Students receiving a second degree discount or a full-tuition scholarship are not eligible. Winter entrants may receive half if funding allows. The January 13, 2027 deadline applies to winter entrants, and the fall 2027 deadline is not published. Students receiving a second-degree discount or a full-tuition scholarship do not qualify.
About this scholarship
One thousand dollars for new students beginning first year at Burman who live within 100 kilometres of the Lacombe campus. The university names Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Leduc and Stettler, and includes the cities along the QE2 corridor between and including Edmonton and Calgary, so the catchment is far wider than the name suggests. Everyone who qualifies is paid.
