About this scholarship

Colleges and Institutes Canada runs this bursary, created by Paul and Gerri Charette, for college and institute students who show financial need and face barriers to finishing their education, with preference to students at institutions in rural, remote and northern communities.

Worth knowing

You cannot apply directly: your college or institute nominates you, if it is a member of Colleges and Institutes Canada. Nominations usually open each fall and selected institutions hear in November, so ask your financial aid office early in the term.
