NCIA Scholarship

The Northeast Capital Industrial Association is the industry body for Alberta's Industrial Heartland, headquartered in Fort Saskatchewan, and it awarded $2,000 to each of four students in its most recent round. Its recipients have been heading into electrical engineering, engineering at the University of Alberta, instrumentation engineering technology at NAIT and power engineering at NAIT, which tells you more about what wins it than any published rubric would: a concrete plan tied to industry in the region, in a degree or a diploma equally.

The association publishes recipients rather than criteria or a date, and Elk Island lists the application among its own, so the route in is your counsellor or myBlueprint. Recent recipients have come from Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park schools.
