Worth knowing

Elk Island runs this through myBlueprint, so you need a division account to see the form at all. The date the division published was dated to 2026 rather than left as a repeating day, so treat the month as the guide and confirm the exact day with your counsellor.

About this scholarship

Dow Canada recognises two Elk Island students a year with $500 each for academic achievement and demonstrated innovation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Selection comes down to a 300-word abstract on a single prompt, to describe a time you took an innovative approach to solving a problem that made a positive impact, including the problem, the challenges and the outcome. The prompt says the example does not have to be a STEM activity.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.

Email me when the date is posted

We send one link to confirm, then an email when a confirmed deadline is posted and reminders before it closes.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
