Elk Island grade 12 students heading into STEM
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Dow Canada recognises two Elk Island students a year with $500 each for academic achievement and demonstrated innovation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Selection comes down to a 300-word abstract on a single prompt: describe a time you took an innovative approach to solving a problem that made a positive impact, including the problem, the challenges and the outcome. The prompt explicitly says the example does not have to be a STEM activity.
Elk Island runs this through myBlueprint, so you need a division account to see the form at all. The date the division published was dated to 2026 rather than left as a repeating day, so treat the month as the guide and confirm the exact day with your counsellor.
