ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Andy Polanski Charitable Foundation was established in 2014 after the death of Andy Polanski, a young man remembered for volunteering across his school and community. It offers $1,000 to a graduate of a Fort Saskatchewan high school going on to post-secondary who has demonstrated the importance of giving back and, through it, has had an impact on others. The foundation's own motto frames the criterion better than a rubric could: life is measured by the fingerprints you leave behind.
The foundation publishes no closing date on its scholarship page, so watch it through the spring or ask the foundation directly. Fort High lists it among its community scholarships, so a counsellor there will know the timing.
