ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

Two hundred dollars for the graduating student with the highest mark in English 30-2 and $100 for the second highest. If two or more students tie for the top mark the second prize disappears and the full $300 is split between them. It is one of the few awards written for the dash-2 stream rather than the academic route.

There is no application. The school's award committee reads the marks and hands this out at the ceremony, so the course you take in grade 11 or 12 is the whole of your entry.

1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school.
