ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
First prize of $250 and two honourable mentions of $50, judged on an essay of 800 to 1,000 words. The award honours a vision of Canada as a just society and the public services the province's pioneers built, and the school's own advice is to reuse an essay you already wrote for Social Studies 30 rather than start from nothing.
Essay topics are posted at the Career Centre and on the LCHS scholarships page by April 1. Proper documentation of sources is required.
HOW TO APPLY

2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before May 31, 2027.
