NATIONAL
WHO CAN APPLY
Students aged 17 to 24 who lost a parent or legal guardian who had little or no life insurance
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
A $10,000 award for students entering college, university or trade school who have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian carrying little or no life insurance. Manulife describes it as the first Life Lessons program in Canada.
The age window runs to 24, so this stays open for years after Grade 12 rather than closing at graduation. Trade school counts alongside college and university. The 2026 round has closed and Manulife had not posted 2027 dates when this was checked.
