ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Singh family funds a $500 scholarship for a first generation Canadian student planning to pursue post-secondary education. Dr. Singh and his family choose the recipient themselves, on the basis of financial need and academic ability together. Brooks has one of the most diverse student populations in southern Alberta and very little money written for it specifically, which makes this a small award with an unusually well-matched pool.
The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. Applications are collected by Brooks Composite High School rather than by the sponsor, and the form itself is a Google Doc only Grasslands students can open, so the date you need is the one the school sets. Ask the BCHS office in the fall.
