Worth knowing
Applications go through your Grasslands school, and the application can be read publicly. Confirm the conflicting parent-employment lookback requirements with the provider. Recipients must attend post-secondary in September of their graduation year and cannot defer the award.
About this scholarship
The Grasslands local of the Alberta Teachers' Association funds four scholarships of $1,000 each. They are for graduating Grasslands School Division students entering an accredited post-secondary program, and the qualifying condition is family. You must be the child of a past or present teacher of the division, counting anyone who taught there within the past five years. The five-year window means a parent who has since left teaching still counts.
