ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

One of two awards left over from the 1989 Alberta Summer Games hosted in Brooks, this one on the athletics side. It is made available annually to a Brooks Composite High School graduate planning to attend a post-secondary institution to study kinesiology, education in physical education, or any field relating to recreation, which the handbook opens out to recreation management, administration and therapy. The field of study is the requirement, not an athletic record.

The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. Applications are collected by Brooks Composite High School rather than by the sponsor, and the form itself is a Google Doc only Grasslands students can open, so the date you need is the one the school sets. Ask the BCHS office in the fall.
