Craig Lester Agricultural & Travel Bursary

Craig Lester graduated from BCHS in 2000 and became an agricultural broadcast journalist; he was raised on a farm near Rolling Hills and still helps with the family operation. He created this as a scholarship and travel bursary in the spirit of bridging the gap between farmers and consumers, and it goes on an application describing your interests and your plans in agriculture and food production. The travel half is the unusual part: it is written to fund going and seeing, not only tuition.

The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. Applications are collected by Brooks Composite High School rather than by the sponsor, and the form itself is a Google Doc only Grasslands students can open, so the date you need is the one the school sets. Ask the BCHS office in the fall.
