ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

The Brooks & District Health Foundation puts one $1,000 award behind a graduate heading into a healthcare profession. You have to have attended high school in the area the Foundation serves, which it defines as Brooks, Duchess and Rosemary, and you have to be entering post-secondary education in a chosen healthcare field. The field requirement is doing the narrowing here: it is a single award, but the pool it draws from is three towns' worth of students committed to health care, not everyone graduating.

The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. It is open past Brooks Composite itself, so if you graduate from another high school in the area, ask your own office how it collects the application; the BCHS handbook is where the criteria are written down.
