Brooks Rotary Club Pathfinder Scholarship

BROOKS
WHO CAN APPLY
First Nations, Métis and Inuit graduates in Brooks and County of Newell

A $1,000 award from the Brooks Rotary Club for a graduating student who self-identifies as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit. It is written to recognise community-building contributions, particularly within Indigenous communities, and names leadership, cultural pride, resilience and kindness as what it is looking for. It is open to students graduating from any high school in the City of Brooks or the County of Newell who are entering college, university, or technical training, so technical training counts here as much as a degree does.

The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. It is open past Brooks Composite itself, so if you graduate from another high school in the area, ask your own office how it collects the application; the BCHS handbook is where the criteria are written down.

1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school.
