ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Six scholarships of $1,500 from the United Steelworkers for First Nations, Inuit and Métis students in USW families who are heading to a Canadian post-secondary institution.
Separate from the general USW post-secondary scholarships and judged on its own. Open to active or retired USW members and their children, grandchildren and immediate family who self-identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis. The six awards are split two apiece across three regions, and Alberta sits in the Western and Northern Canada region. Application is a form plus a three-minute video or a 250-word statement on one of three set topics. The 2026 cycle closed June 30, 2026. Verified against usw.ca on 2026-09-08.
