Pre-Apprentice Scholarship

A $1,000 award bridging a pre-apprenticeship program and a registered apprenticeship, currently suspended by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.

The province has this one paused and says only to stay tuned, so treat it as a thing to watch rather than a thing to plan around. When it runs, the qualifying program is at least four weeks or 120 hours of trade-related instruction, proof of completion is due June 30, and you must already be registered as an apprentice. A committee weighs marks and, where relevant, financial need.
