Worth knowing
It pays for the things other awards will not touch, like application fees, upgrading courses to qualify for a program, supplies, short training tickets such as security or food handling, and even work boots for a first job. Anyone who has attended or is attending post-secondary is excluded, which makes it useful in a gap year. Applicants must have lived in Calgary for at least six months. It is age-based youth support, and prior or current post-secondary students are excluded.
