ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Kinsmen Club of Okotoks pays $500 to a graduating student in good standing with an overall grade 12 average of at least 70 per cent, who takes part in at least one school extracurricular activity and at least one organisation outside school.
The bar is deliberately low and precisely stated: one school activity and one community organisation is the whole participation requirement, and 70 per cent is well under what most award pages ask for.
