Okotoks grade 12 students with a record of community volunteering
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Okotoks Elks Lodge funds three awards of $1,000 for graduating students attending post-secondary in the year of graduation, selected mainly on volunteer work that has enhanced the community.
The handbook states that academics are considered secondary to volunteer work, which puts three $1,000 awards within reach of a student whose transcript is ordinary. Holy Trinity Academy students apply too, by emailing the lodge a short essay on where they volunteered, and preference goes to anyone who has volunteered with the Elks themselves.

2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school.
