Worth knowing

There is no application. The scholarship committee selects the winner. Because it pays out fund interest rather than a set sum, the school cannot quote a figure in advance. Repeating a grade 12 course removes you: the handbook requires first-time enrolment in the subjects being counted. Unless an award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens and have lived in Alberta for at least one year.

About this scholarship

Paid from the interest on an in-trust fund, this goes to a student taking grade 12 subjects for the first time with at least 28 credits. English 30-1 plus the four highest of Physics 30, Chemistry 30, Biology 30, Science 30, Social Studies 30-1, Math 30-1, Math 31 or a grade 12 language are what get counted.
