LCHS graduates entering trades, oil and gas or power engineering
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Two awards worth $1,000 each, paid as safety training rather than as money. CANSAFE covers the tickets you need to work, such as First Aid, WHMIS and H2S Alive, and the funds are never deposited to you. Confirmation of post-secondary, an apprenticeship or an oil and gas job is asked for, but if you cannot confirm yet a one-paragraph statement of your career goals and the tickets you will need is accepted instead.
One form covers every LPSD award. You complete the General LPSD Scholarship Application in the Google Classroom, code an2eroz, by May 1, and tick this award on the LCHS organizer sheet rather than applying to the sponsor.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before May 1, 2027.
