LCHS graduates entering a trade, technology or business field who have overcome adversity
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Four awards of $750, two for trades and two for technology or business, from a bequest by Verna Jean Hawkins to the school division. Two of the three criteria are unusual: applicants should not already be receiving significant scholarship money, and students must have overcome adversity to succeed at school. Marks are not mentioned at all.
One form covers every LPSD award. You complete the General LPSD Scholarship Application in the Google Classroom, code an2eroz, by May 1, and tick this award on the LCHS organizer sheet rather than applying to the sponsor.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before May 1, 2027.
