Amount and deadline

Award
$750
Deadline May 1, 2027

Date confirmed on the provider's page, Oct 2026.

How to apply

Worth knowing

Overcoming adversity is a stated requirement here, not a tiebreaker.

How the LPSD awards form works

One General LPSD Scholarship Application covers every LPSD award. You complete it in the Google Classroom, code an2eroz, by May 1, and tick each award you want on the LCHS organizer sheet instead of writing to the sponsors.

32 awards listed here go through it.

About this scholarship

Two awards of $750, one for trades and one for technology or business, from a bequest by Verna Jean Hawkins to the school division. Two of the three criteria say that applicants should not already be receiving significant scholarship money, and students must have overcome adversity to succeed at school. Marks are not mentioned at all.

Email me before it closes

We send one link to confirm, then a reminder 30, 14 and 3 days before the deadline.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
