Worth knowing

There is no application form. You tick the consent-to-be-considered box in MyTradesecrets and keep your address current, and that is the whole process, which is why so many apprentices never receive one. You need at least one more period of classroom instruction left in your program. Cheques go out by November 1. Applicants must have passed or received credit for a period exam between August 1 and July 31 and, for multi-period trades, have at least one further period of classroom instruction remaining.

About this scholarship

A $1,000 scholarship for registered Alberta apprentices who passed a period exam in the year, funded by industry donors and the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund.
