A Foothills Composite grade 12 student contributing to the school paper
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Western Wheel, Okotoks' local paper, pays $250 to a grade 12 student in English 30-1 or 30-2 who is interested in journalism, has shown growth and initiative in it, and has contributed to the school newspaper or newsletter.
English 30-2 counts here as well as 30-1, which is unusual and means the academic stream is not a barrier. Actually writing for the school paper is what separates applicants.
