Worth knowing

Two categories keep the field fair, so immersion and Core French students compete as French Second Language and are not measured against students who speak French at home. You can enter in grade 10, 11 or 12, which means a grade 10 student can enter three times. The scholarship is tied to studying wholly or partly in French at one of 15 partner institutions, so check that list before you write. Registration runs October 14 to December 18 and the theme changes every year.

About this scholarship

A 750-word essay in French for grade 10 to 12 students, with 100 scholarships worth $1,000 to $28,000 shared out of a $388,000 pool at 15 partner universities and colleges.
