ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
A $750 character award, and the sponsor says plainly it is not for high academic achievement. It recognises students who have come through mental health struggles, physical disability, discrimination, financial hardship or family problems and still graduated, whether they go on to post-secondary, trades, online learning or the military. A student prevented from studying further by physical or medical limits can be nominated for a $750 cash award instead, to spend on equipment, training or supplies.
Students are nominated by staff and have three years to claim the funds. The school's instruction is to talk to the Career Centre before April 1 if you think you qualify.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before April 1, 2027.
