Utility Safety Partners Scholarship

A $2,500 award from the organization behind Click Before You Dig, for Alberta students entering skilled trades, power lineperson, health and safety or civil engineering programs.

Read the academic bar carefully, because it is written twice: entering students need an 80 percent average, while students already in a program need a 3.0 GPA. That first line is the one that matters to you, and it is the reason this award is worth filing in grade 12 rather than waiting. Utility Safety Partners is the organization formerly called Alberta One-Call, the people behind Click Before You Dig, and they want a letter of recommendation plus evidence you care about safety through work, coursework or volunteering. Only two are given each year and the applications run through the ScholarTree platform rather than their own site.
