Worth knowing
Apply by September 30 of the year you graduate using the division's bursary form, which asks about your studies, your best qualities, your school and community activities and how you will use the money. Attach two reference letters from community members who are not relatives. You need a diploma with a 70% average across at least 25 credits of 30, 31 and 33 level courses, and the bursary is meant for students who do not qualify for the division's Grade 12 scholarship. Send proof of post-secondary or apprenticeship enrolment by October 15 for fall or February 15 for winter.
About this scholarship
Sturgeon Public Schools gives two $500 bursaries a year, one to a Redwater School graduate and one to a Sturgeon Composite High School graduate.
