Stony Plain Lions Award for Improvement
The Stony Plain Lions Club fund three of these: $500 to a graduating student who has improved in attitude, achievement and citizenship across their high school career, and $250 each to a grade 10 and a grade 11 student who improved over the course of one school year. All three ask for contribution to the community through volunteering and an acceptable level of academic standing. Improvement is the measure, which makes this one of very few awards a student can win precisely because they started badly.
Memorial Composite marks this one as needing an application in the spring of Semester 2 and publishes no calendar date for it. Its own award list also says sponsorship and amounts are subject to change, so confirm both with the school before counting on the figure.
