Worth knowing

Memorial Composite marks this one as needing an application in the spring of Semester 2 and publishes no calendar date for it. Its own award list also says sponsorship and amounts are subject to change, so confirm both with the school before counting on the figure. Financial need is considered or preferred, but is not required.

About this scholarship

The Rotary Club of Parkland After Dark award this to a student entering their first year of post-secondary education, and they say that registered apprenticeship programs count. Preference goes to students demonstrating financial need or a strong commitment to good citizenship and volunteerism, which is an either-or rather than a both, so a student with one of the two should still apply.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.

Email me when the date is posted

We send one link to confirm, then an email when a confirmed deadline is posted and reminders before it closes.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
