Worth knowing
A parent must be a current, retired, substitute or long-term disability member of Local 60. One $2,000 award is for students entering a Faculty of Education and another $2,000 award is for any other program, with two more $1,500 awards at the committee's discretion. Send a two-page typed application with your marks, activities, community involvement and career plans to the scholarship chair at Hunting Hills High School. Short-listed applicants are interviewed, and winners show proof of enrolment before payment.
About this scholarship
The Red Deer City local of the Alberta Teachers' Association gives four scholarships of $1,500 to $2,000 to its members' children finishing Grade 12.
