ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
One award of $500 for a grade 12 student planning to enrol in a post-secondary science or science-related programme, who shows an exemplary attitude, genuine enthusiasm for science and satisfactory academic standing in the subject.
There is one condition that catches people: the recipient should not be receiving another scholarship. If you expect to win elsewhere, this one may pass you over. Satisfactory standing is the academic bar, not excellence. Bev Facey runs one online form for every in-house award: you tick the ones you qualify for and attach a written or video submission saying why. A staff committee decides. The 2026 form closed April 7 and opened on March 16, so watch for it in mid-March.
