Marty and Pam Proctor Awards

A fund of $10,000 divided among ten to twenty students, so roughly $500 to $1,000 each, and by far the widest pool at the school. Consideration goes to students who are not receiving other awards, which makes it the natural companion to the Chamber of Commerce award. It looks for a strong work ethic in reaching the grades needed for entry to any post-secondary program, trade schools included, with preference for engineering, especially petroleum engineering at the University of Alberta, and for music, plus extra weight for applicants who would benefit from help overcoming personal circumstances.

Every award in the handbook is decided from a single ECCHS Awards Application, and the school says outright that a student may submit only one. The cutoff is a dated one rather than a repeating day, and the 2026 round closed on Monday, June 22, so ask student services for the current date.
