Worth knowing

It appears in the Foothills Composite handbook but the criteria reach every rural high school in the province, so students well outside the Foothills region are eligible. Scholastic achievement and community service are weighed together, not one gating the other. Unless an award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens and have lived in Alberta for at least one year.

About this scholarship

A $500 award for an Alberta resident who has completed high school at a rural Alberta high school, has demonstrated scholastic achievement and community service, and is about to begin study in agriculture at any post-secondary institution in the province.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.

Email me when the date is posted

We send one link to confirm, then an email when a confirmed deadline is posted and reminders before it closes.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
