SCHOLARSHIP GENERAL DEADLINE TBA

Josephburg Ag Society Scholarship

ALBERTA
WHO CAN APPLY
Post-secondary students in any year, with no age limit

The Josephburg Agricultural Society awards three $1,000 scholarships, judged equally on academic achievement and community involvement, with one reserved for a student in a programme leading to a career in agriculture and one given in memory of longtime director Doug Maschmeyer. The eligibility is unusually wide: any post-secondary student starting or already enrolled in any year of an accredited programme, degree or diploma, with no age limit, and you may win it up to three times. The application is a 500-word essay on what volunteerism means to you plus a video of no more than 90 seconds covering your community involvement, academics and career goals.

The society published a dated cutoff of September 1, 2026 for its most recent round, which has now passed, and it has not yet posted the next one. No residency rule is stated anywhere in the criteria, so despite being a local society this is open well beyond Josephburg; it is listed on the Fort Saskatchewan hub because the schools there promote it.
