ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Imperial Sovereign Court of the Wild Rose, an Edmonton charitable society that has been fundraising since 1976, grants these each year to students of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community entering any accredited post-secondary programme in Alberta. Bursaries are usually between $500 and $750, but the number and the amount both move with how much the court raises in a given year. The fund is managed by the court's own board of directors.
The 2026 round is closed and recipients were announced at the court's coronation weekend in August, so the next intake opens in the new year. This is not a Fort Saskatchewan award, though Elk Island and Fort High both carry it on their lists; it is open across Alberta.
