Worth knowing

This one breaks the Grade 11 rule that governs the rest of the Horatio Alger slate. This stream takes Grade 12 students, or CEGEP students in their final year. The academic bar is a 2.0 GPA rather than the 70 percent average the other streams ask for. You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

About this scholarship

Five awards of $10,000 for First Nations, Inuit and Métis students, and the one Horatio Alger stream that takes Grade 12 applicants, not Grade 11. Applicants must have a home Indigenous community in the Northwest Territories, Yukon or Nunavut.
