Foothills County residents already in their second year of agricultural study or later
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Foothills County's Agricultural Service Board funds two scholarships of $2,500 for county residents enrolled in the second, third or fourth year of a post-secondary programme in agronomy, animal science, agricultural business, production or mechanics, or another field advancing agriculture.
Two traps here. It is closed to first year students, so a graduating grade 12 has to wait a year, and residency means Foothills County itself, including Blackie, Cayley, Aldersyde, Priddis, Millarville, Heritage Pointe and DeWinton, rather than the town of Okotoks. Anyone who has already had an Agricultural Service Board scholarship is excluded. A 500 word essay and last year's transcript are required.
