Worth knowing

Upload acceptance proof, marks, program details, two references and an essay. Some corporate options require prior study. Some corporate awards accept non-members, while regional awards require the parent or employee to live and work in the region. Dependants must be under 19 or under 24 if studying full-time, with an exception for disability, and employee applicants have different conditions. Some corporate awards require a completed first year or third- or fourth-year apprenticeship, while the regional $4,000 award requires one year of Alberta Electrical Alliance membership.

AEA scholarships provide $1,000 to $4,000 through one application for employees and dependants of member companies. Students planning full-time college, university or apprenticeship study can apply. Regional awards require the family's work and residence to match the region.
