Evy Newton McBryan Memorial Award

One award of $275 from the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie for a first-year Visual Arts or Fine Arts student who is continuing full time the following year. Selection weighs academics, portfolio, relevant experience, education and career goals together.

Preference goes to a Canadian citizen but the criteria say outright that non-residents are also eligible, which is rare. You must intend to continue the following year. Northwestern Polytechnic's standard award criteria require two full semesters already completed at NWP, which shuts most of its 359 awards to a student coming straight out of grade 12.
