Worth knowing
Most polytechnic awards ignore the upgrading classroom entirely. Northwestern Polytechnic's standard award criteria require two full semesters already completed at NWP, which shuts most of its 359 awards to a student coming straight out of grade 12. Entrance awards are the exception and this is one of them. Applications sit in your NWP account document library once you are admitted. Unless the award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, though international students may apply in their second full-time year at NWP. Standard bursary criteria require a GPA of at least 1.7 in the first semester of application.
About this scholarship
One bursary of $300 for a student with demonstrated need, entering or in any later year of study. Academic upgrading and foundational learning students are named as students who should also be considered.
