Worth knowing
What it wants is evidence of money spent, so keep receipts for equipment, transport, software or attendant costs. The same $3,500 ceiling on other awards applies here. Northwestern Polytechnic's standard award criteria require two full semesters already completed at NWP, which shuts most of its 359 awards to a student coming straight out of grade 12. Entrance awards are the exception and this is one of them. Applications sit in your NWP account document library once you are admitted. Unless the award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, though international students may apply in their second full-time year at NWP. Applicants must document additional college attendance expenses caused by a disability. Applicants must not receive more than $3,500 in other awards. Applicants must be entering Alberta residents in a program lasting at least two years. Standard bursary criteria require a GPA of at least 1.7 in the first semester of application.
