Alberta Blue Cross Barrier-Free Learning Bursary

One bursary of $1,000 for an entering Alberta student in a programme of two or more years who demonstrates financial need and has incurred extra costs to attend college because of a disability. You submit the nature of the disability and proof of the expenses.

What it wants is evidence of money actually spent, so keep receipts for equipment, transport, software or attendant costs. The same $3,500 ceiling on other awards applies here. Northwestern Polytechnic's standard award criteria require two full semesters already completed at NWP, which shuts most of its 359 awards to a student coming straight out of grade 12. Entrance awards are the exception and this is one of them. Applications sit in your NWP account document library once you are admitted.
